Teltonika partners Truphone for eSIM services

Lithuanian telecommunications solutions provider Teltonika has started a partnership in the field of IoT with Truphone. The partnership  will enable Teltonika devices to use Truphone’s eSIM and cellular connectivity technology.

Initially, this technology will be used in a range of automotive and personal trackers including the FMB001 (OBD – easy), FMB120 (advanced), FMB640 (professional), TMT250 (personal tracker) and others. These will be used in everything from cars, to security hardware, to field services systems for enterprises.

Another focus of the partnership will be to explore LTE-M and NB-IoT, a move that is intended to demonstrate both companies’ commitment to improving the whole IoT ecosystem for businesses, devices and the people that use them.

This partnership will simplify the deployment of tracking services worldwide to the hundreds of Teltonika enterprise customers — all using the power of the Truphone technology and connectivity.

Bruno Duarte, Truphone’s Head of IoT/M2M commented: “Teltonika is a major IoT innovator, and one of the world’s largest tracking and networking hardware manufacturers. As an eSIM pioneer and the only truly global cellular connectivity provider, Truphone is a natural partner for this smart and forward-thinking company. Together we will be taking an enormous leap towards realising the true potential of IoT.

Antanas Šegžda, CEO, Teltonika added:

Teltonika has a strong heritage in innovation, focusing on improving our products and services to better address customer needs. This partnership will open up vast new opportunities to change the ways our devices connect—ultimately ensuring our leading hardware comes equipped with a truly integrated user experience.”

Ralph Steffens, CEO, Truphone added:

“By integrating eSIM and global connectivity into IoT enabled devices, manufacturers no longer have to rely on traditional providers and don’t need to provision their devices for a specific country or region. This simple, yet profound, shift has the potential to reshape the future of IoT, and global industry at large. I am extremely proud that Teltonika and Truphone are leading the charge.”

The bigger picture

What makes this partnership interesting is not just the combination of Teltonika hardware and Truphone connectivity. It reflects a much larger shift happening across the connectivity industry.

IoT is quietly becoming one of the biggest drivers of eSIM adoption. Unlike travel eSIMs, where users manually install profiles for short-term connectivity, IoT devices require something much more powerful: global deployment, remote provisioning, and the ability to operate seamlessly across borders without changing hardware or SIM cards.

That is exactly where eSIM architecture becomes transformative. A device manufactured in Lithuania today can be shipped to Germany, deployed in Brazil, or installed in a fleet in Australia without any change to the physical connectivity setup. The network profile can simply be provisioned remotely.

For companies like Teltonika, whose trackers are used in logistics, fleet management, security systems, and industrial monitoring, this dramatically simplifies global scaling. Enterprises no longer need to worry about local SIM sourcing, roaming limitations, or managing multiple telecom contracts in different countries.

For Truphone, the partnership strengthens its position in the global IoT connectivity space, where embedded eSIM solutions are increasingly replacing traditional SIM deployments.

More importantly, collaborations like this highlight how the eSIM conversation is expanding far beyond smartphones and travel connectivity. While consumer eSIM adoption continues to grow, the real long-term scale may come from millions of connected devices quietly operating in the background of industries such as logistics, mobility, smart cities, and asset tracking.

In other words, the future of eSIM may not only be in your phone. It may be in every connected device that keeps the modern world moving.
