John F. Kennedy International Airport is the main international airport serving New York City. The airport is the busiest of the six airports in the New York airport system, the 13th-busiest airport in the United States, and the busiest international air passenger gateway into North America. More than ninety airlines operate from the airport, with nonstop or direct flights to destinations in all six inhabited continents.

JFK is located in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, 16 miles (26 km) southeast of Midtown Manhattan. The airport features six passenger terminals and four runways. There is  an interactive airport map official JFK airport site.

Apple Maps added indoor layouts of 30 airports across the globe. Mainly the largest cities across the US were added, but the list also includes some key international airports, including Hong Kong International, Amsterdam, Geneva, two in London and Berlin and a number of Canadian terminals. Airports included in the list now have the “Look Inside” feature on the map that offers end-users a bird’s-eye view layout of the inside of the terminal. jfk ma

This means that when Apple Maps users go to these airports they’ll now see accurate locations of gates, check-in counters, baggage claim, security checkpoints, shops, bathrooms, restaurants, and lounges, all as part of an interactive overall layout — including a 3D view of each airport. The Maps app will even let you ask Siri to direct you to any one of these places inside each airport.

Apple’s been adding other major hubs over the last few months. Indoor maps for Chicago’s O’Hare International (ORD) and Midway (MDW) airports were added in October, while support for Hong Kong International (HKG), Berlin (TXL, SXF), Houston (IAH, HOU), and Amsterdam (AMS) was added in November. Apple Maps now supports indoor maps for more than 30 airports, and the company says it will keep rolling them out incrementally. Check out a full list of which ones are supported .

In addition to listing which airlines are situated within each terminal, the new floor plan feature for airports has the added benefit of laying out the exact locations of important spots such as security checkpoints and gates to help the wary traveler anticipate and prepare in advance to reduce any delays and frustrations. jfk map
