First Apple store in Saudi Arabia opens at Riyadh Airport

The store is likely the first of many planned to open in the kingdom

The first official Apple store in Saudi Arabia has opened in terminal five of King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh, reports DFNI. The 75-m2 store offers the latest Apple products and was opened in partnership with the neighbouring Virgin Megastore. Apple Store In Saudi Arabia

Virgin Megastore General Manager for Saudi Arabia and Lebanon Mohammad Ramadan told: “Customers can feel, touch and try every product, which will be connected to the internet. All Apple products will include the necessary demonstration software for [a] better experience. In addition, there will be a large screen within the store that will highlight new features.”

The Apple Store only opened today (25 July), but the Virgin Megastore section opened in April. Revealing the early performance of the Virgin Megastore and the ambitions for the Apple Store, Ramadan said: “The Virgin Megastore side of the store achieved 20% higher than our budget within the first month. This gives us great hope for the Apple store.”
