This possibility is automatically applied to all Rechargeable customers, Subscriptions and VAT numbers. All users can continue to use their national offer in the European Union to call, send messages and browse. When you are in the European Union, calls to Wind numbers are charged in accordance with the provisions for calls to other national operators. Calls made from Italy to abroad remain unchanged.

As required by European Regulation 2016/2286, the use in the member countries of the Union of its own national offer without any surcharge, is permitted in the context of occasional trips and in compliance with the correct use policies defined in accordance with the European Regulation.

According to the 2016/2286 European Regulation, the use of the data volume, under the same national conditions, is allowed up to a maximum quantity in the reference month.

Beyond this maximum quantity, Wind is authorized to apply the surcharge provided pursuant to and in the manner envisaged by regulation 2016/2286, equal to 0.7 cents / MB, charged to KB, including VAT until 31 December 2018.

A notification of the exhaustion of the threshold with an indication of the surcharge that will be applied in addition to the domestic price. The volume of data that can be used at home and the applicable surcharge will be automatically adjusted in accordance with the 2017/920 and 2016/2286 regulations.

In the event of any abusive or abnormal use of regulated roaming services, Wind reserves the right to apply the additional measures to protect the operator provided for by the aforementioned European Regulations.

Before going to one of these countries, therefore, it is advisable to contact your provider in order to request all the information regarding the limits of use of your offer abroad. Remember that if you travel to a country that is not included in this list (for example, Switzerland), the roaming principle “at home” will not apply, but the operator’s fees will be applied abroad.

Wind Tre has applied a precise algorithm. To calculate the GBs to be used in Europe you have to do this calculation: rate cost divided by six for two. For example, who pays to Wind 10 euros a month can use 2.7 GB of Internet outside the borders, who will pay 20 will have 5.5 GB.You can get a precise idea by connecting to this page on the  official Wind website.

Many other operators apply limits to the data usage abroad, some using the same formula of Wind Tre and others setting a precise limit of Giga (it is the case of Iliad and Ho. that provide 2 GB of roaming traffic).
