Telekom Slovenije and Samsung will once again donate 10,000 euros to the Slovenian Breast Cancer Awareness Association, Europa Donna, in the pink month of October, International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, by selling a special series of Pink Ribbon mobile phones. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Samsung Galaxy A51 are available in this year’s special offer.

This year, the Europa Donna Association has highlighted the importance of regular monthly self-examination and early detection of breast cancer, which is very important for successful and less burdensome treatment, less late consequences, and reduced mortality. “If you feel any change, despite the limitations in healthcare due to the new coronavirus, persevere and consult your chosen doctor or gynecologist. This is really important and key to successful treatment. The free Breast Test mobile app is also available to help with proper self-examination, ” says Tanja Španić, President of the Europa Donna Slovenia Association.

Breast Test application is an effective tool for regular and proper breast self-examination. It includes a menstrual calendar, the option to set a reminder for the monthly self-examination, a visual display of the correct self-examination, a chronological record of the condition and detected changes and the recording of physical activity. Users can easily download the application to their mobile phone from the online store Google Play in App Store.

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women, but it can also affect men. According to the Cancer Registry for Slovenia, 1,399 women and 10 men fell ill in 2017. That year, 433 women and two men died of breast cancer. Awareness of a healthy lifestyle, early detection, and immediate, effective treatment tailored to each patient is important for successful treatment and reduction of mortality.
