Kcell launches LTE roaming services in 10 states

Kazakhstan mobile operator Kcell has launched LTE roaming services. kcell lte roaming

The services are currently available in ten states, namely Austria, Albania, Vietnam, Germany, Iran, Spain, Italy, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Macau, Russia, Romania, Singapore, the US, Thailand, the UAE, the Czech Republic and Korea.

For connection to the LTE network, mobile device of subscriber shall support this communication standard, as well as have the SIM-card with support of the 4G/LTE. Subscriber can dial *256# and call button for checking of the SIM-card compliance, information about if his/her card supports this communication type will be received in the reply message.

You are kindly recommended to control over the Internet traffic consumption in the telephone settings and deactivate autoupdate of mobile applications and messengers.

The Kcell subscribers can use 10-days internet packets in the roaming from 300 Mb to 1,5 GB for convenient using of the LTE abroad, or Kcell Travel service from 59 tenge for 1 Mb/min/message on the Internet, calls and SMS for free communication.

Things to do before leaving:

Activate roaming service;
Check if roaming is provided in the country of destination, check the communication standard from the selected operator;
Check out roaming promotions and favorable tariffs with roaming partners ;
If necessary, set a code word on your number. If you lose your SIM card, you can call the Call Center at +77272588300 (dialing to the information desk from roaming is free) and block the SIM card using a code word. In order to set a code word on the number, you must write an application to Kcell Center;
Do not forget to warn your relatives, friends, and colleagues that your number remains unchanged abroad and the cost of their calls remains the same (the call will be charged as a call within Kazakhstan);
When entering another country, turn on your phone and it will automatically select an available network. You can select or change the mobile operator manually in the menu of the device and select the type of 2G network or dual standard networks (2G + 3G / UMTS) (detailed instructions can be found in the section “For owners of smartphones” ).
To use the Internet in roaming, do not forget to activate the Internet in roaming in the settings of the phone itself.

Before connecting additional services in roaming, it is recommended to interrupt the active session and resume using the Internet after connecting the services for the correct application of their conditions.
