The Argentinian government has launched a plan to install 4G-LTE and Wi-Fi connections in 196 tourist destinations currently lacking fast broadband services, reports La Nacion. The “Tourism Connectivity” project was unveiled by modernisation minister Andres Ibarra and tourism secretary Gustavo Santos at the FIT international tourism fair in Buenos Aires.
“Tourism Connectivity” project aims to connect 223 sites that are divided into 196 locations that were identified as priorities.
These districts include Tafà del Valle (Tucumán), Purmamarca, Bariloche and El Bolsón (RÃo Negro), Perito Moreno (Santa Cruz), Villa La Angostura and San MartÃn de los Andes (Neuquén), Cafayate (Salta), Quiaca (Jujuy), San Rafael (Mendoza), Concordia and Paraná (Entre RÃos), Puerto Iguazú (Misiones) and MartÃn GarcÃa Island (Buenos Aires), among others.
