CarConnect, Vodafone’s connected car solution, is on sale for customers and non-customers of the operator. It is based on a device with a Vodafone Smart Sim integrated with data that provides high quality Wi-Fi through its 4G connection. It also reports the GPS location and the status of the vehicle , sends alerts through messages and automated calls, and offers personalized offers such as discounts at gas stations and restaurants. The device is associated with the CarConnect mobile application, from which all its functionalities are managed and controlled. Through this application, the customer will have at their disposal all the information about the vehicle (exact location, devices connected to the Wi-Fi network, etc.) and very interesting indicators that will help improve travel information and safety.
The customer can quickly check if the vehicle is on and has a mobile connection, as well as the detailed weather forecast by hours and days so that they can plan their trips. It also includes a driving score called DriveScoring, which will help improve driving skills by assigning a score per trip based on measurable parameters, such as sudden acceleration/deceleration, unexpected turns, or time spent driving over the speed limit. Likewise, you can assess how his driving is, where he needs to improve, and you will have available the score history of the last month, so that you can compare his evolution over time.
In addition, you will be able to see the location of the vehicle at all times, plan a route, search for public parking in the area you need, have access to the list of trips made by the vehicle and access the details of each one of them.
Finally, it includes the CarConnect Alarm Assistant functionality,a secure alert notification system through which the customer is informed through a mobile notification of any anomaly in the vehicle and, if there is no read confirmation, an SMS is sent and an automatic call is made to both him and the trusted contacts you have defined.
These alerts can be configured by the customer directly from the app and receive notifications when situations occur such as unexpected movement, towing, possible collision or that the device has been disconnected.
