Unitel roaming service arrives in Belize

Unitel’s roaming services have arrived for the first time in Belize, Central America, through a partnership with local operator Belize Telemedia Limited, reports Angop.
In Central America, Unitel already has voice-roaming partnerships in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
In addition to voice roaming, the partnership with Belize Telemedia Limited also includes the provision of a GPRS bilateral roaming service for the sharing of mobile data.
The operator reinforced the data roaming service in Sierra Leone in June, through a new local partnership with the operator Africell, the second roaming partner in the country.
This partnership will ensure the provision of Bilateral GSM and Bilateral GPRS services to Unitel customers, and can continue to be connected to the Web through their mobile phones when traveling to Sierra Leone.

Unitel is a telecommunications company that operates in several countries, including Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam. In Laos, Unitel is the largest mobile network operator and provides a range of telecommunications services to its customers. Some of the services offered by Unitel in Laos include voice and data plans, prepaid and postpaid plans, and international roaming services.

In terms of international roaming services, Unitel offers various options for customers who need to use their mobile phones while traveling abroad. These options include:

  1. Roaming packages: Unitel offers a range of roaming packages for customers traveling to different countries, which provide a certain amount of data, voice, and SMS at a fixed price.
  2. Pay-as-you-go: Customers can also use their Unitel SIM cards while abroad and pay for usage on a per-minute, per-text, or per-MB basis.
  3. Roaming partners: Unitel has partnerships with several international mobile network operators, which allows customers to use their phones on these networks while traveling abroad.

As for the pricing of Unitel’s roaming services compared to other operators, it can vary depending on the destination country and the specific package or service being used. It’s recommended that customers check with Unitel directly or compare prices with other mobile network operators to find the best deal for their needs. It’s also worth noting that roaming charges can be significantly higher than domestic rates, so it’s important to carefully consider the costs before using mobile services while traveling abroad.
