Ooredoo Highlights Roaming Options For Customers Travelling Over Summer

Ooredoo customers travelling this summer can rest assured they will be able to access voice and data connectivity without incurring expensive roaming charges, with the telco leader’s reach extending further across the globe. Ooredoo Roaming For Travelers

Customers can access a simple, comprehensive roaming package – Ooredoo Passport – and a number of new networks in countries including Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Panama and many more have been added to Ooredoo’s Passport Partners list.

An Ooredoo Passport offers stress-free roaming in a wide range of countries with 1GB data and 100 minutes. Customers can activate an Ooredoo Passport before they travel but, if they forget, a Passport will automatically be activated once roaming charges reach QR100. Ooredoo Roaming For Travelers

Qatarna customers already have a generous Roaming data allowance included in their tariff plans and can stay connected with peace of mind when they travel in countries with partner networks.

1. Activate an Ooredoo Passport either by SMS or with the Ooredoo Passport Card available at Qatar Duty Free at Hamad International Airport

2. Turn off cellular data roaming until your Ooredoo Passport has been activated.

3. Turn off automatic app updates over cellular data (you can still update apps automatically over Wi-Fi).

4. Save maps for offline use on Google Maps before you travel.

5. On iOS, turn off the Background App Refresh for apps like Facebook to avoid cellular data usage when you’re not using the app.

6. Enable travel mode on Snapchat to use less data.
