Magenta Telekom provides connectivity to restaurants, hotels as measures to halt Covid-19 get lifted

Magenta Telekom said it has provided the gastronomy and hotel industries with connectivity services in cooperation with Freewave. The company has deployed fibre-optic cables, and Freewave the WLAN.

“It’s more important than ever to respond to customers’ short-term needs to help them stay productive,” said Maria Zesch, CCO Business & Digitalization at Magenta. “For customers from the catering trade, we laid cables on call within 24 hours and, together with our partner Freewave, ensured fast connectivity in their businesses.”

With magenta and freewave, restaurateurs therefore offer their guests a powerful and stable fiber optic cable network for surfing the Internet. In addition, restaurateurs benefit from the numerous marketing services that Freewave offers.

Advantages for restaurateurs: MAGENTA TELEKOM with Freewave to meet the needs of the guests

Freewave has been offering high quality hospitality services for 15 years. This includes guest and internal or cash register WiFi including complete network support. As a marketing tool, the WLAN hotspot provider asks guests for ratings on TripAdvisor and other platforms and draws attention to the respective company through various channels. In addition, the respective hotspots in the Freewave app and the Vienna locations are also listed as WiFi locations in the City of Vienna live app. The tool regularly delivers anonymized statistical data to the restaurateurs so that they are informed about the usage behavior of their guests and can therefore optimize their service.

“Regardless of whether it is about user behavior, social WiFi or classic Internet access, Freewave delivers everything from a single source. For this, a fast and stable connection is an important prerequisite for the smooth functioning of our installations, which is why we have relied on Magenta’s high-quality cable network for many years, ”emphasizes Wolfgang Krivanek, founder and managing director of Freewave.
