Tele 2 leads the industry in terms of LTE network development .
Tele2 showed the greatest dynamics in the pace of development of LTE infrastructure. Since the beginning of 2018, the operator has increased the number of base stations of this standard by 100% to 46,226, while the closest competitor showed an increase of 50%. According to the total number of RESs of LTE Tele2 standard, it ranks third in the telecom industry.

In 2018, Tele2 implemented a number of large-scale projects for the development of LTE infrastructure. The operator has completed a large-scale program for launching 4G networks in the regions of Russia and has provided high-speed mobile Internet services throughout its presence. In addition, Tele2 covered all the stations of the Moscow Metro with an LTE network, acted as the main developer of cellular infrastructure at three of the 12 World Cup stadiums in 2018, provided the entire territory of the Skolkovo innovation center with quality coverage.
According to the results of the third quarter of 2018, Tele2’s investments in IT infrastructure and technological development of the network amounted to 4.4 billion rubles, an increase of 78.3% compared with year to year. With a significant increase, CAPEX Tele2 showed a net profit of 1.6 billion rubles.
By investing in the technological development of the network, the operator contributes to an increase in the NPS index (customer willingness to recommend the operator to friends and relatives), according to which Tele2 is the undisputed leader in the telecom industry.
