Post Luxembourg to support eSIM from 30 March

Post has become the second operator in Luxembourg to announce that it will make eSIM support available to customers with compatible devices from 30 March. Post Luxembourg esim

Like Orange earlier this week, the operator said that the new service will initially be introduced on selected smartphones and will soon be extended to a wider range of connected products, such as tablets and smart watches.

It also highlighted that eSIMs will make it easier for customers to set up two profiles with different subscriptions, for example separate private and business numbers on the same handset.

Cliff Konsbruck, POST Telecom Director, explained: “In addition to its simplified activation, eSIM allows our customers with several mobile numbers, a private and a professional for example, to use these two subscriptions on the same smartphone and therefore be reachable on both numbers”.

In the future, the range of devices with eSIM will be generalised and users will be able to take advantage of it on a tablet or any other connected object that has this technology.

Finally, the use of this new eSIM card is not only a technological advance, but also an environmental one. In line with its corporate social responsibility (CSR) concerns, POST has recognised that the gradual dematerialisation of SIM cards will reduce the use of plastic. Post Luxembourg esim
