Condor to Add Three New European Routes
German leisure carrier Condor is set to enhance its European presence with the launch of three new routes for the upcoming summer 2026 season. Beginning May 1, the airline will connect Frankfurt Airport with Barcelona, Budapest, and Venice, expanding its footprint in Southern and Central Europe. This strategic expansion underscores Condor’s commitment to offering more choice and convenience for urban explorers and business travelers alike.
With these additions, Condor continues to build on the momentum of its recent growth across Europe. The airline has seen strong demand for its city connections and is responding by offering more frequent and flexible services to popular cultural and economic hubs. The decision to introduce daily flights to these three cities reflects the airline’s proactive approach to adapting to traveler preferences and strengthening its role as a key player in intra-European air travel.
By further diversifying its short-haul network, Condor not only increases its appeal to city break travelers and corporate clients but also reinforces its strategy of operating a balanced mix of leisure and business routes. This move comes at a time when European travel demand continues to rebound, and passengers are seeking reliable, comfortable, and well-timed flight options for both work and holiday purposes.
New Routes, More Options for Urban and Business Travelers
Starting May 1, 2026, Condor will offer daily flights to the three newly added cities. The schedules are spread across morning, afternoon, and evening, providing greater flexibility for both business and leisure travelers. These new routes complement the airline’s existing portfolio, which already includes Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Paris, Milan, Rome, Vienna, Zurich, and Prague.
Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor, emphasized:
“Condor has successfully established itself on the market in recent months with the new city destinations from Frankfurt. Since then, we have been offering our guests an attractive product on our daily flights at optimal flight times for business and city travellers,” says Peter Gerber, CEO Condor. “This has been well received, so it is a logical next step to offer further exciting cities with Barcelona, Budapest and Venice.”
Fleet Modernization and Enhanced Onboard Experience
The new routes will be operated with modern Airbus A320neo aircraft, part of the airline’s short-haul fleet modernization plan. These planes are not only more efficient but also offer greater comfort: more spacious overhead compartments, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a redesigned cabin to improve the passenger experience.
Class Configuration and Onboard Services
Condor maintains its two-class offering for these routes:
- Business Class: Includes high-quality beverages and a snack.
- Economy Class: Offers complimentary water and a sweet treat as a courtesy.
