4ka adds LTE international roaming in Germany and Spain?
Slovak mobile operator 4ka has extended LTE roaming to two more countries, namely Germany and Spain. In Germany, 4ka roams on the LTE networks of O2 Germany and Vodafone Germany and in Spain on the networks of Orange Spain, Vodafone Spain and Movistar (Telefonica).
So far, Slovak operator 4ka has been offering international roaming on the LTE networks of Vodafone Czech Republic, Vodafone Hungary and Telenor Hungary. In December 2018, 4ka launched LTE roaming in Austria, on the networks of A1 and Hutchison Drei Austria.
“Shortly after the smooth launch of LTE roaming in neighboring Austria, we have access to other countries where most of our customers are heading. Running in the country always precedes rigorous tests, but they continue at a rapid pace, and customers can enjoy LTE roaming even in less visited countries soon, ” said Patrik Kollaroci, Technical Director. This is a further improvement of the services that the operator is constantly working on.
In what network and through which technology customers are connected, they can also verify on their mobile phone’s display. When connected to LTE roaming, the 4G or LTE icon appears on the device.
4ka roaming services are available in over 200 countries and territories around the world. The specific roaming rates and available services may vary depending on the country or region that the customer is visiting. Some common services that 4ka customers can access when roaming include:
- Voice and text messaging: Customers can make phone calls and send text messages to other mobile devices while traveling abroad.
- Data services: Customers can access mobile data services while traveling abroad, such as browsing the internet, using mobile apps, and sending and receiving emails.
- Roaming packages: 4ka offers various roaming packages that provide customers with discounted rates for voice, text, and data services when traveling abroad.
- Roaming alerts: 4ka provides roaming alerts to customers to help them manage their roaming usage and avoid unexpected charges.
It is important to note that roaming charges can be costly, and customers should check the specific rates and available services before using their mobile devices while traveling abroad. To avoid excessive roaming charges, customers may also want to consider purchasing a local SIM card or using a mobile app that provides low-cost or free international calling and messaging services.
