Kuda unveils eSIM service
Kuda has launched a new feature that allows customers to purchase eSIM s directly from the Kuda app, providing an internet experience for users travelling to over 60 countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and popular tourist destinations across Europe and Africa. kuda esim
According to a statement from the firm, this innovative eSIM service offers a way for Kuda customers to stay connected internationally without the hassle of acquiring a foreign data plan.
It added that, unlike traditional SIM cards, eSIMs were digital and could be embedded in devices such as smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches. Kuda customers can choose from a variety of internet data plans ranging from 1GB, valid for seven days, to as much as 20GB, tailored to their travel needs.
It noted that the eSIM is provided free of charge, with customers only responsible for paying for the internet data they require.
According to Kuda, while the eSIM does not come with a dedicated phone number, users can effortlessly make and receive audio and video calls using popular apps like WhatsApp and FaceTime.
The Vice President of Product Innovation and Strategy at Kuda, Nosa Oyegun, commented,
“Our eSIM feature is a cost-effective and convenient way for our customers to stay connected while travelling. They won’t need to buy a SIM card at their travel destination, spend foreign exchange on data plans, or incur data roaming fees.”
He added that the introduction of the eSIM feature marked another milestone in Kuda’s mission to deliver innovative banking solutions that extend beyond traditional financial services.
“As demand for flexible, borderless connectivity continues to rise, Kuda remains committed to evolving its offerings to meet the needs of modern, mobile-savvy customers,” he stated.
The PUNCH reports that Kuda, through its Kuda Business platform, introduced virtual and physical point-of-sale products aimed at easing payment processing for freelancers, and small, and medium-sized enterprises.
