iRobot is committed to showing the difference between the various robotic vacuum cleaners that have flooded stores. The new Roomba Combo j9+ is more complete and works as a vacuum cleaner and mop, without spreading germs, but there is also a vacuum-only version, the Roomba j9+, and more economical models, the Combo j5+ and Combo i5+.

The Roomba Combo j9+ is the new top of the range, with an automatic water refill base and vacuumed trash container, and it gains new features, the Dirt Detective to “investigate” the dirt and the SmartScrub that scrubs the floor more persistent in areas where it is needed. But iRobot announced more models, with the Roomba j9+ vacuum cleaner, the model that only vacuums and does not wash, and two mid-range devices, the Combo j5+ and Combo i5+, also with floor washing, which join the range of branded products in stores.

Colin Angel, CEO and Co-founder of iRobot guarantees that these are the smartest equipment that the company created with funding from MIT has already launched, but promises that innovation will not stop here and that it will be felt in the hardware and software. For now, iRobot wants to show the potential of the new generation of robotic vacuum cleaners, but also to restore consumer confidence.

“Over time, consumers’ relationship with vacuum cleaners has evolved. There is a “honeymoon” phase, which includes pre-purchase and product evaluation, in which even small mistakes are funny, but then they are faced with the problems of living together”, explains Warren Fernández, product manager, which highlights the need to evaluate the characteristics of the various brands and products that will make a difference over time.
