To use the new boarding pass feature, users simply need to add their boarding pass to Google Wallet. They can do this by opening the Google Wallet app on their phone and scanning the QR code on their boarding pass. Once the boarding pass is added, it will be displayed on the user’s smartwatch along with their other saved passes.
To view your boarding pass on your smartwatch:
-
Open the Google Wallet app on your smartwatch.
-
Swipe up to view your passes.
-
Tap on the boarding pass you want to view.
To show your boarding pass to the gate agent:
-
On your smartwatch, tap the boarding pass you want to show.
-
The boarding pass will be displayed with a QR code.
-
Hold your smartwatch up to the gate agent’s scanner so they can scan the code.
Benefits of using the new boarding pass feature:
- Convenience: You can leave your phone in your pocket and show your boarding pass with your watch.
- Security: Your boarding pass is stored securely in Google Wallet, and you can only view it on your smartwatch.
- Efficiency: You can quickly and easily show your boarding pass to the gate agent, which can help you avoid delays.
The Apple Watch does not currently support boarding pass storage. However, Apple has been rumored to be working on a boarding pass feature for the Apple Watch, so this feature may be added in a future update.
