Airtel announces in-flight roaming packs with tariffs starting from Rs 195
Telecom firm Bharti Airtel on February 22 introduced in-flight roaming plans for customers that will allow them to stay connected while onboard a flight, with tariffs starting as low as Rs 195. Airtel in-flight roaming
“Customers can now enjoy high-speed internet browsing, talk to their loved ones, and enjoy a host of other activities while thousands of feet above the ground. Customers subscribed to roaming packs priced at Rs 2,997 for prepaid and Rs 3,999 for postpaid and above will automatically enjoy the in-flight roaming benefit at no additional cost,” said Airtel in a stock exchange filing.
Airtel said to power the onboard travel experience, it has introduced in-flight offerings including voice, data, and SMS services.
Both postpaid and prepaid customers need to pay Rs 195 for 250 MB of data, 100 minutes of outgoing calls, and 100 outgoing SMSes with a validity of 24 hours. For Rs 295, Airtel’s customers will get 500 MB of data, 100 minutes of outgoing calls, and 100 outgoing SMSes with 24-hour validity. and for Rs 595, Airtel’s users will get 1 GB of data, 100 minutes of outgoing calls, and 100 outgoing SMSes with 24-hour validity.

For a seamless travel experience, Airtel said it has tied up with Aeromobile to enable the best in-flight connectivity across 19 airlines flying across different international sectors.
“To lend support to customers during their travel, Airtel has a 24/7 contact center. In addition, the company has a dedicated WhatsApp number ̶ 99100-99100 ̶ where customers can call and get support from a network specialist squad for real-time resolution. Customers also have a self-serve option of managing data usage, buying additional minutes, and getting real-time billing details by simply logging on to the Airtel Thanks App,” said Airtel.
