Unity Line to launch broadband on ferries from Poland to Sweden
The carrier has started cooperating with the Swedish company Nowhere Networks on the issue. The services will be available on two Unity Line ferries.
Till now, the carrier has used internet access via a limited-speed satellite connection on its ferries, and passengers have had virtually no possibility of connecting to the internet while at sea (outside the range of mobile operators’ shore stations).
– The agreement with Nowhere Networks will provide us with a comprehensive service that includes both a communication solution as well as management and service around the clock, 365 days a year. This is a supplier recommended by other transport companies. He will take care of the project as a whole, including negotiating the location of masts, hardware support, project management, etc . – says PO Forsberg , deputy managing director of the Swedish branch of Unity Line Ltd.
Fast Internet access solutions from Nowhere Networks use ferries from companies such as Tallink, DFDS, Eckerö Lin e and Whightlink . Poland to Sweden ferries
