“The Danes’ consumption of data on the mobile is increasing and rising. It is a trend that also applies to Telenor’s mobile customers – and also when they go on holiday. All family members from children, teens to parents use the mobile, and the vast amount of data is used both for social media, streaming movies / music, news and of course sharing holiday pictures and experiences from the holidays. The average roaming consumption per customer thus increased by 30% from 2017 to 2018, and we expect it to increase further in the summer of 2019 , ”says Tor-Arne Fosser, marketing director at Telenor.

Many Danes still fear to get big bills when they are on holiday abroad. Telenor covers the vast majority of Danes’ foreign journeys, including 39 European countries and 8 countries outside Europe, including the USA, Thailand and Turkey, therefore the majority will also be covered by a data package included in their subscription.

At the same time, Telenor sends a message by SMS to the customers when they are about to reach their maximum data usage limit during the holidays, just as the customers can find good advice on Telenor’s website on how they can reduce the data consumption during the journey if they are in a country. which is not included in their foreign data.

We want to give our customers peace of mind and freedom so that they do not have to worry about extra bills when they come home from vacation.
