T-Mobile Slashes Starlink Pricing, Extends $10 Plan to AT&T and Verizon Users

T-Mobile will be introducing free Starlink satellite connectivity service for subscribers on its premium plans. For the rest, it announced a 50% price reduction of the monthly payment, including for those Verizon or AT&T users who want to sign up for it via the eSIM card in their phones.

At the last T-Mobile quarterly earnings call, the carrier shed some light on the pricing of its Starlink satellite service that will come out of the beta state in July.

T-Mobile will drop the monthly Starlink connectivity pricing to $10, instead of charging twice that if one is an AT&T or Verizon customer, or $15 if they are a T-Mobile subscriber.

Granted, the option currently doesn’t offer much else but messaging when out of T-Mobile’s signal range, but the carrier recently argued that emergency texts sent via its satellite service could be “lifesaving” when applying for an FCC exemption to bring the service faster to its older phones.

Moreover, the expansion of SpaceX’s direct-to-cell satellite constellation will allow Starlink subscribers on T-Mobile to do voice and data, too, including streaming podcasts and video.

In any case, T-Mobile’s CEO Mike Sievert, confirmed that the $10/month Starlink satellite service offer will be extended to AT&T and Verizon customers as well, just as it is now offered to them in the beta state.

The way that T-Mobile does Starlink connectivity for Verizon or AT&T subscribers is via the virtual eSIM cards in their iPhone 16 Pro Max or other handset, which allows using services from two carriers at once.

While the service is in beta, it also said it will offer it for free to those who switch from AT&T or Verizon to its network, but it is not clear how many people have taken advantage of that offer.

T-MobiIe subscribers on its premium Experience Beyond and Go5G Next carrier plans will also get StarlInk connectivity for free when the service launches in July.
