Krakow drivers gain access to mobile parking with mPay
For parking in the application, you can pay using an electronic purse, which must be topped up with cash, e.g. by bank transfer or Blik system. You can also connect a payment card to mPay, which avoids having to remember about regular payments.
Payments for parking using the mPay app are also available in nearly 30 other cities throughout Poland, including in Gdańsk, Łódź, Poznań and Rzeszów.
Here’s how mPay typically works:
- Users first need to download the mPay application and create an account. They may also need to provide payment information, such as a credit or debit card, to fund their account.
- Once the account is set up, users can use the application to find a parking spot at a supported location. In some cases, this may involve scanning a QR code or entering a parking zone number into the app to identify the location.
- After the user has parked, they can use the app to pay for their parking. This may involve selecting the duration of time they plan to park, and confirming the payment amount.
- Some mPay applications for parking may offer additional features, such as the ability to extend parking time remotely or receive notifications when the parking session is about to expire.
- When it’s time to leave, the user simply exits the parking spot and does not need to worry about paying at a kiosk or machine.
It’s worth noting that the specific process may vary depending on the service provider and location, so users should check with the specific mPay application for parking they are using to understand the details of how it works. Additionally, users may need to follow any local regulations and rules regarding parking in order to avoid fines or penalties.
