Iliad improved EU roaming conditions
As you already know, as part of the Roam Like at Home initiative , Iliad allows customers to use the minutes and SMS included in their offer without limitations. On the other hand, a limit of correct use is applied to data traffic in order to avoid abusive and / or incorrect behavior. To find out more about Iliad roaming Europe, read below.
The limit in question can be calculated using the following formula: 2 * the price of the package (without VAT) divided by the ceiling for wholesale prices (this year equal to 3 euros and from 1 January 2022 equal to 2.50 euros , always excluding VAT).

The peculiarity of the Iliad case derives from the fact that the operator provides for several GBs that can be exploited precisely for EU Roaming, which therefore do not erode those that can be exploited in Italy. Here is a complete list of Iliad offers and the new thresholds envisaged:
As mentioned, Iliad is informing its customers via e-mails like the ones you see in the following screenshots. The message forwarded to customers with the 7.99 Giga 50 active reads for example:
« 2021 starts with 1 GB more in Europe. Starting from 21 December 2020 you will have 1 GB more available to surf in Europe (you will have 5 GB, instead of 4 GB, as required by European legislation) and if you run out of GB available in Europe, the pay-as-you-go rate is reduced. As can be seen from the message, therefore, the increase in the thresholds is not the only noteworthy novelty, but there is also a lowering of the tariff applied to extra- threshold traffic , which goes from 0.00427 euros per MB to 0.00366 euro per MB.
A final clarification must be made regarding the effects of Brexit : Iliad announces that for the moment the UK Roaming will not differ from the EU one, any changes will be announced in due course.
