A1 increases the amount of mobile Internet roaming in the European Union (EU/EEA) that is included in customers’ mobile plans. The change came into effect from 1 July 2022 alongside the new EU Roaming Regulation and Fair Use Policy. It will cover all customers of a mobile service using National Roaming Conditions (the standard roaming tariff) and will be expressed in an increase from 410 MB to 512 MB for every BGN 1 of the monthly subscriber fee, or almost 25% more compared to the current amount of MB .

For example, if the customer’s monthly fee is BGN 20 excluding VAT, then by June 30, 2022, the subscriber will have had 8,200 MB roaming in the EU. After July 1, the same A1 subscriber will already have 10,240 MB for roaming in the EU/EEA.

This is another step towards increasing the accessibility of roaming services and communication abroad. Since the end of April, the telecom has up to 96% lower prices for roaming services in the countries of the Western Balkans – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro and Turkey under its Standard roaming tariff for private subscribers. The price per minute in this area is currently BGN 0.59, and the mobile internet charge per megabyte is BGN 0.99.

From April 26 this year, the telecom reduced its roaming prices for private subscribers by up to 59% and for other countries outside the EU, which allows customers to communicate more freely abroad. A1’s unlimited 5G plan, the richest in services and options – Unlimited Ultra, will thus cost only BGN 30 per month at the beginning of the contract, and for this amount users will enjoy unlimited minutes and megabytes at the maximum network speed.

Until September 30, the other two Unlimited plans (with promo prices of BGN 20 and BGN 25) will also have unlimited maximum speed, after which, however, it will become 50 Mbps and 150 Mbps, respectively.

The initial big discount significantly reduces the total amount that is paid over the course of the contract, and so A1’s offer enables even more people to join the largest true 5G network in Bulgaria and make the most of its potential.
