Chilimobil offers subscription with 1,000 GB data per month with 12 GB in Europe

Chilimobil, the MVNO running on Telia Norway’s network, has begun offering a subscription offering up to 1,000 GB of mobile internet while in Norway, alongside unlimited calls, texts and MMS. Chilimobil data

Customers can also use up to 12 GB when roaming in the EU and EEA.

The subscription costs NOK 399 (€42) monthly and includes two months’ use of TV2 Sumo.

An average Norwegian customer, according to Chili, uses 4 GB data per month, but according to Nkom, mobile traffic increased by around 50 percent last year.

Norway differs from the other Nordic markets where subscriptions can be obtained without data quota (free data).

Aftenposten recently made a review that showed that Telia in Denmark, Tele2 in Sweden and Finland, for example, have subscriptions for free data.

In other markets like the United States, the practice has varied fact that the major operators over the years first went away from free data but then returned. For example, both AT & T and T-Mobile offer free data under certain conditions now. This means, among other things, that AT & T will be prioritized in periods of high traffic if you have used more than 22 gigabytes per month.
