Travel & Surf is a free mobile option that allows you to book data passes for data use outside the EU.

The option available in all current MagentaMobil tariffs is preset and ensures that if you try to establish a data connection outside the EU, you are automatically redirected to an internet page where you can book the data passes for the relevant country.

What’s Changed?

Deutsche Telekom has significantly increased the data allowances for its Travel & Surf passes. Depending on the specific pass and zone, customers can now benefit from double or even triple the previous data volume. This means more freedom to stay connected without the fear of exceeding data limits abroad.

Zones and Coverage

Telekom currently has several Travel & Surf packages in its range, which are available at different prices and with different content. Depending on the package, the delivery time is between 1 day and 28 days; this varies depending on the country you are traveling to.

Key travel destinations within Europe (Zone 1) now offer even greater allowances. Additionally, coverage for more distant locations like the USA (images below) and Canada (Zone 2) has also improved.

How to Benefit

Existing customers with active Travel & Surf passes will automatically receive the increased data volume without any additional costs. New customers can simply purchase or activate a Travel & Surf pass to take advantage of the expanded allowances.
