Agreements have been established to allow the Tier 1 operator to roam onto multiple regional operator networks, enabling it to provide wider coverage in areas where it did not previously have a VoLTE roaming footprint. The CCA LTE Roaming Hub seamlessly enables operators to expand their domestic and international footprint while maximizing their network effectiveness with a suite of visibility and intelligence tools.

We are proud to be a pioneer in our industry and to be one of the first to launch VoLTE roaming by a Tier 1 operator within a hub environment,” said Bill Versen, Chief Product Officer at TNS. “Regional operators are typically able to offer better quality coverage as their towers and local network infrastructure have been established to address the particular requirements of that specific geographic area. For Tier 1 and Tier 2 carriers, leveraging regional operator networks can often be far more cost-effective than expanding their own physical network architecture.”

In addition to enabling the Tier 1 operator to improve its subscriber experience with more extensive VoLTE coverage, the regional operator and hub member benefit from additional inbound traffic. volte roaming TNS

Steven K. Berry, President and CEO of CCA, said: “It is extremely pleasing to see TNS’ commitment to ensuring that the CCA LTE Roaming Hub continues to be an essential community ecosystem for the telecom industry. Allowing smaller carriers and larger operators the opportunity to work together will help strengthen their businesses with additional revenues and provide robust connectivity for their customers.”

Through the CCA LTE Roaming Hub, TNS provides VoLTE roaming, as well as roaming to and from 4G networks. Hub members have a competitive advantage by offering LTE roaming to their subscribers while simplifying their roaming strategy. The CCA LTE Roaming Hub also offers Hub Break Out by optimizing and routing bearer traffic to and from the internet.

From small rural operators in the US to the largest multi-national carriers, TNS has over 500 operator customers and comprehensively addresses the needs of wireless and wireline operators globally. TNS’ networks have been specifically designed and configured for the transmission of transaction-related time-sensitive data and support a variety of widely accepted communications protocols.

Since its founding in 1990, TNS has grown to provide services in more than 60 countries across the Americas, Europe and the Asia Pacific region, and offers 24x7x365 support via its Network Operating Centers in the US, UK and Australia. volte roaming TNS
