UPC Switzerland announced the launch of new mobile subscriptions, including ‘roam like home’ in Europe. Customers can browse the web, make calls, and send texts in the EU on the same terms as in Switzerland. upc switzerland eu roaming

The three new subscriptions from UPC—Mobile Europe Flat 1,000, 4,000, and 10,000—will offer data volumes of 1,000, 4,000, or 10,000 MB of high-speed internet per month for Switzerland and the EU from 28 June. In addition, thanks to unlimited texts and calls, customers can communicate to their heart’s content not only in Switzerland but also during their next holiday in the EU with unlimited calls within the EU country they are visiting, as well as outgoing calls back home to Switzerland and incoming calls to the EU country they are visiting, all included.

Customers will also benefit from unlimited texts from the EU country they are visiting to all Swiss networks:

*Calls from Switzerland to EU countries and outgoing calls between EU countries are not included.
** To benefit from the special price, a UPC Internet product with at least 100 Mbit/s is required, e.g. UPC Connect 200

If the High-Speed data included each month is used up while in the EU, UPC will inform the customer automatically by text. In this case, the customer can continue to use the Internet as in the past either with a roaming package (e.g. 250 MB for the new price of CHF 15.00 from 13 July) or at the normal data rate of only CHF 0.30/MB without any problem. For an optimal overview of data usage while abroad, the customer can also order a reminder text as soon as 80% of the High-Speed data has been used up in his or her personal customer account and also set a cost limit for data roaming. However, if the included High-Speed data is used up while in Switzerland, customers can simply carry on surfing with reduced speed.
