Through customer research, Truphone found that many are resorting to smartphone hotspots to stay connected. This prompted the company to repurpose its My Truphone app to provide an easy and affordable way to top up personal data packages that may be running low—even when users are in their home countries. And, for those able to expense work-related data, the app provides a separate bill which makes it easy to differentiate from personal usage.

The move also sees Truphone bring forward its plans to launch a significant price reduction in key locations. This includes a 100GB package for €200 or £200 which can be used across EU countries, including the United Kingdom.

The new plans launch today and are available to new and existing customers with an eSIM enabled smartphone. My Truphone is available to download on the App Store and the Google Play Store. The first 100MB is free so users are able to test their connections before committing to a plan.
