per person

There are so many online booking systems, such as Booking.com, Agoda.com, Hotels.com, Trip.com, Oyo Hotels, Expedia, and others, that sometimes it is hard to choose which one to use. Hotels.com, L.P. is part of the Expedia Group of travel companies, and below is the Hotels.com review.

This company is probably best known for its generous rewards program, which entitles you to one free night for every 10 that you book on the site.

Hotels.com Rewards

Hotels.com® Rewards is for guests aged 18+ who registered with a valid email address. When you book and stay for 1 night at eligible properties, you’ll get 1 stamp. Collect 10 stamps, and you’ll get 1 reward night to redeem at any eligible property. We work out the average value of all 10 stamps you’ve collected (before taxes and fees) and give it back to you as a reward. You just pay taxes and fees on your reward* night. And if you choose a room, apartment, or other equivalent that costs more, you pay the difference. You can’t collect stamps or redeem reward* nights when you pay using a discount coupon or if you’re making a reservation for a package holiday. Stamps and reward nights collected will expire if you have not made and completed a booking with your Hotels.com® Rewards account in the previous 12 months.

Hotels.com Pricing & Fees hotels.com review

Our own tests found that Hotels.com is one of the pricier options available, and has similar, but slightly more expensive, pricing than its parent company, Expedia. As with Expedia though, pricing in the Americas is particularly sharp, and we found that these two sites can sometimes offer significantly cheaper prices in the US and Canada. As with its parent company, Hotels.com doesn’t charge any extra booking fees, or credit card fees – everything is built into the price.

Hotels.com app

Hotels.com is available via a mobile app on both iOS and Android, as via as having both mobile and desktop sites. Hotels.com has a whopping 86 country-language pairs, a seriously impressive effort that should be able to serve anyone no matter where on earth you are. Although, last month they closed accounts from Russia, Ukraine, Croatia, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.

Hotels.com Payment Methods hotels.com review

Hotels.com accepts major credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. It can also process a number of smaller cards, including JCB, Diners, BCcard, UnionPay, Discover, and JCB. It also accepts PayPal both on the desktop site and on the mobile app, and you can also pay using Hotels.com own gift cards.

Hotels.com customer service

The true problem comes when you face some obstacles or need something to sort out. This customer service is completely unuseful – you will get generic answers, and hardly it will be an answer to your question!
