Tele2 Russia cuts roaming rates in Crimea?
Mobile operator Tele2 Russia plans to modify the conditions of its services for retail and corporate users in the Crimea peninsula. New rates of service will be applied from 15 February.
Tele2 provides cellular communication services in Crimea, so that your vacation at local resorts does not limit your communication with family and friends.
On the territory of the Republic of Crimea and in the city of Sevastopol, there are special conditions for paying for mobile communications.
Starting May 31, incoming calls will be free for Tele2 subscribers traveling to Sevastopol and Crimea. The remaining parameters of the provision of services when users are in Crimea do not change: a minute of an outgoing call to any numbers in Russia, 1 megabyte of Internet traffic, and one SMS will cost the client 3 rubles.
Crimea is becoming an increasingly popular travel destination for Tele2 subscribers – in the summer of 2018, the number of the operator’s customers who visited the republic increased by 67% compared to the same period in 2017. At the same time, voice traffic in this region showed a two-fold increase in the last summer.
Also, while traveling around the country, Tele2 subscribers can continue to use high-speed mobile Internet at competitive prices. The ” Internet on the Peninsula ” option allows Tele2 customers to freely use data transmission services on the territory of Sevastopol and Crimea and not be afraid of unforeseen communication costs. The subscription fee is 300 rubles per day and is debited from the client’s account only in case of actual access to the network. If the client does not use the Internet during the trip, the service fee is not charged.
