VoLTE is the most popular technology for handling voice calls in T-Mobile T-Mobile Poland eu roaming

VoLTE, the technology responsible for handling voice calls in the LTE network, is already the most popular technology in which T-Mobile customers make phone calls. In November, over 51% of all calls were made using this technology. In January of this year, this share was less than 36%. This is good news for customers because VoLTE calls offer higher sound quality and a better reduction of unnecessary noise than calls in older generation networks.

The increase in the number of calls made in VoLTE technology is responsible for making it available to other groups of network customers – currently, it is available to all T-Mobile and Heyah customers, regardless of the type of contract they use. The availability of suitable telephones is also of great importance. From the beginning of 2021, new phone models marketed by T ‑ T-Mobile support this technology.

The popularity of the 3G network and the connections made in it is declining. Currently, it is less than 40% of all connections, 12 pp less than at the beginning of the year, and we observe that this downward trend is accelerating from month to month.
