SKT offers quadruple data to first-time roaming customers
SKT has introduced a special year-end promotion, offering four times the usual data allowance for customers using its T Roaming service for the first time.
This event is for customers who have not used T roaming in the past 60 months and can use the ‘baro First Roaming 12GB/24GB’ plan at the same price as the existing ‘baro 3GB/6GB’ plan.
When the event is applied, customers can use the ‘baro 12GB’ plan (59,000 won) at the price of the ‘baro 3GB’ plan (29,000 won), and the ‘baro 24GB’ plan (79,000 won) at the price of the ‘baro 6GB’ plan (39,000 won), so they can receive a discount of up to 40,000 won.
SKT, together with Naver Pay, has also prepared an event that will provide customers with benefits worth 20,000 won for six months from December 9 to June 8 next year.
This event is where customers using the ‘baro rate plan’ will immediately receive a T roaming coupon worth 10,000 won and 10,000 Naver Pay points when they purchase 20,000 won or more overseas using ‘Naver Pay overseas QR payment’. Each person can receive this benefit once during the event period.
In addition to the increased data, customers aged 34 and under will retain their existing 1GB bonus data.
SKT first time roaming promotion
The promotion runs through March 4th, 2025, and subscriptions can be made at airport roaming centers, via customer service, or on the T World website.
SKT said that after the launch of ‘Club T Roaming‘ on October 2, about 100,000 customers used an average of 2.4 benefits, and that ‘Club T Roaming’ is gaining attention as one of the ‘overseas travel tips’ for roaming users.
Yoon Jae-woong, SKT Subscription CO, said,
“We have prepared a variety of events so that overseas travelers can use T Roaming without any burden during the winter vacation season,” and “We will continue to expand various roaming benefit programs that customers can experience in the future.”
SK Telecom announced on the 4th that it will hold a ‘First Roaming Data 4x’ event to coincide with the year-end overseas travel season. Image of the ‘Naver Pay Overseas QR Payment’ event.
