Siminn cuts roaming costs
Siminn cut roaming costs in some countries on November 1, but removed Gibraltar from ‘Roam Like Home’ Icelandic operator Siminn said that from November 1, it will offer lower roaming prices for customers using its services in the US, Switzerland, Canada, and Greenland.
Síminn’s mobile service works in more than 500 countries, thanks to Síminn‘s extensive cooperation with telecommunications companies in 190 countries. The company is striving to exchange with trusted parties and often more than one telecommunications company in each country to ensure a good connection as widely as possible in each location. However, the costs associated with using an Icelandic phone number abroad are different depending on the country, and the operator therefore encourages customers to investigate the issue before starting.
Siminn Roam Like Home
Starting November 1, Síminn will offer lower prices when it comes to usage in the United States, Switzerland, Canada, and Greenland. The UK and Gibraltar will similarly move into the same price range as they were previously part of ‘Roam Like Home’.
Síminn’s customers who go to the UK must therefore bear in mind that all use in the UK is charged according to the price list but no longer takes advantage of the included usage that comes with the customer’s subscription.
Siminn recommends the Travel Package to reduce the cost of traveling in these countries as well as others; see details here.
Síminn wants to encourage its customers who use open wireless networks when traveling abroad to pay attention to their internet security and not blindly trust all open wireless networks.
