Polish operators lose PLN 350 million on RLAH
Already in the first month of the new regulations, data usage in roaming increased by nearly 1600 percent compared to the same month last year, and Poland, apart from Bulgaria and Romania, is the leader in terms of the average number of minutes of calls made in the EU roaming per user.
In the third quarter of 2017, it was on average 41 minutes per month, which is almost three times more than the average in the EEA (14.23 minutes). It even happens that the user has used over 32,000 minutes of calls within one month, while the average use of his operator in the network was 144 minutes.
The record in excessive use of the data transmission service is almost 500 GB in a month (the average was just over 400 MB). Polish users use the largest number of roaming services in Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain, France, and Italy.
For Polish operators, however, this means losses and, and a reduction of investment potential.
