Orange Poland offers travel insurance over mobile app
Travel insurance is the first product offered this way. Customers can choose from the offers of Axa Assistance, Tu Europa and Generali, Three options of insurance are available: Eco with coverage of PLN 125,000, Plus with coverage of PLN 600,000, and VIP without upper limit of the coverage.
The technology partner of the project is the insurance comparison portal KioskPolis.pl, which has also prepared a simple and fast process of purchasing insurance and a transparent method for the comparison of insurance offers.
There are three variants of insurance available: ECO with the sum insured from PLN 125,000, PLUS with the sum insured up to PLN 600,000 and VIP, without an upper limit of the sum insured. The offer is directed to those traveling abroad for leisure, sports trips, as well as to work. The prepared products have attractive insurance ranges, including alcohol-related incidents and protection against terrorist acts. 1. Vodafone and AXA Travel Insurance (UK and Europe)
- Vodafone has teamed up with AXA Travel Insurance to offer customers travel insurance bundled with their mobile plans. This includes coverage for medical emergencies, lost luggage, flight delays, and more. Vodafone also allows customers to activate travel insurance via their mobile app.
- Additionally, Vodafone’s eSIM offering includes travel-specific benefits, which can include emergency assistance services, useful for international travelers.
2. T-Mobile and Allianz (USA)
- T-Mobile in the U.S. offers its Travel Pass plan with a collaboration with Allianz Travel Insurance. This package includes access to both mobile data and a range of travel insurance options, such as coverage for trip interruptions and travel cancellations. T-Mobile customers can purchase the insurance via their app or the website as part of their service plan.
- They also offer “Magenta Plus” which includes trip insurance benefits, especially for travelers who are concerned about medical or cancellation costs.
3. Orange and Mondial Assistance (France)
- Orange in France offers a partnership with Mondial Assistance, providing travel insurance for customers who purchase specific mobile plans or bundles. Customers can select from packages offering mobile data while also getting coverage for medical emergencies, theft, or lost baggage.
- Orange’s Holiday Pack includes both data roaming and travel insurance, catering to vacationers or business travelers seeking both connectivity and coverage abroad.
4. Airtel and HDFC ERGO (India)
- Airtel, one of India’s leading telecom providers, partnered with HDFC ERGO to offer a bundled plan for its international roaming customers. The plan includes both mobile data and travel insurance for overseas trips. This package covers various aspects such as medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and flight delays, simplifying the process for travelers looking for both connectivity and protection.
5. Three and InsureandGo (UK)
- Three UK has a partnership with InsureandGo, offering travel insurance as an add-on to its roaming packages. Travelers can access data while abroad and be covered for unforeseen events, including lost baggage, medical expenses, and cancellations. The plan is available to Three customers traveling internationally, ensuring both data usage and peace of mind through travel insurance.
6. Telstra and Cover-More (Australia)
- Telstra, Australia’s largest telecom provider, has partnered with Cover-More to provide travel insurance for its customers. The insurance can be added to mobile and roaming plans, covering everything from medical emergencies to trip cancellations. The integration ensures that travelers can easily manage both their telecom needs and insurance through one service.
7. Singtel and Allianz (Singapore)
- Singtel offers travel insurance as part of its Singtel Travel Pass package, in collaboration with Allianz Travel Insurance. Customers can activate their roaming plans and add coverage for health emergencies, trip delays, and other travel-related issues. This bundled offer is particularly convenient for those traveling in and out of Singapore.
8. MTN and SA Travel Insurance (South Africa)
- MTN offers a collaboration with SA Travel Insurance, providing a seamless bundle that includes international roaming and travel insurance. This partnership covers unexpected medical situations, trip delays, and lost baggage, offering peace of mind to MTN customers traveling abroad.
9. O2 and Direct Travel Insurance (UK)
- O2 in the UK has teamed up with Direct Travel Insurance to offer a simple insurance package that includes both travel coverage and connectivity. This can be particularly useful for customers needing travel insurance with additional services such as mobile data, calling, and texting while traveling internationally.
