Orange Poland offers new roaming options outside EU
Orange Poland has introduced two new roaming options for postpaid subscribers who are travelling outside of the European Union (EU). These options are designed to give customers more flexibility and control over their roaming costs when they are abroad.
For individual and business customers traveling to countries outside the EU and using a subscription, Orange has prepared the Safe Roaming service. This means better billing for data transmission in selected further destinations (46 countries outside the EU), reducing the risk of an unexpectedly high bill.
Safe Roaming – 1 GB for PLN 15 is a package that is activated automatically when the user starts data transmission while roaming. Without such a service, in distant or exotic countries, 1 MB costs up to PLN 44. The service renews daily as long as the customer is online. If data transmission is not turned on, the package is not activated, and no fee is charged. However, after using 1 GB, data transmission will be blocked until the package validity period (24 hours). After using up the funds within 24 hours, if the user needs to continue using the Internet, he or she can activate the next package.
For those signing contracts from January 21, the service is already part of the mobile plan, and for those signed earlier, activation is required – a free SMS with the content BR to the number 80060. In the case of the prepaid offer, an SMS with the content BR to 80214 is required.
For longer trips, a larger package is also available: 10 GB for 15 days for PLN 79 . It is a one-time activation to be activated for all subscription customers. The package includes a reduced rate per minute for calls, SMS and MMS up to PLN 0.50. The prepaid offer includes a similar package: 10 GB for 15 days for PLN 79, without cheaper rates for calls and messages. How to activate Safe Roaming
To activate Safe Roaming, customers can do the following:
- Online: Visit the Orange Poland website or the Orange Flex app.
- SMS: Send SMS with the keyword “ROAM” to 5075.
- Call: Call Orange Poland customer service at +48 61 800 8000.
