Orange Poland offers carrier billing for public transport tickets in 70 cities
Mobile operator Orange Poland is offering a function to pay for public transport tickets from the customer’s mobile balance.
Customers can pay city bus and tram fares in Warsaw and 70 other cities across the country via phone (Słupsk Sopot, Mysłowice and Zduńska Wola etc).
This payment method can be used by customers of Orange mobile subscriptions, MIX plans and Orange Love packages. The payment and technical solution provider is DVMP from the Digital Virgo group.
One-time purchase may not exceed the equivalent of EUR 50 in PLN. In the billing cycle, customers can add electronic services to the invoice for no more than the equivalent of 300 euros.
Currently, there are several mobile network operators in Poland that offer carrier billing services for public transport, in addition to Orange. Some of these operators include:
- T-Mobile – T-Mobile offers a carrier billing service for public transport in Warsaw, allowing customers to pay for their fares using their mobile phone bills. The service is available on the mPay mobile payment platform.
- Plus – Plus also offers a carrier billing service for public transport in Warsaw, through the City Card mobile app. The service allows Plus customers to pay for their fares using their mobile phone bills.
- Play – Play offers a similar carrier billing service for public transport in Warsaw, through the SkyCash mobile app. Play customers can pay for their fares using their mobile phone bills, and the service is available for both prepaid and postpaid customers.
It’s worth noting that carrier billing services for public transport may not be available in all cities or regions of Poland, and the availability of these services may vary depending on the specific mobile network operator and public transport company. It’s best to check with your mobile network operator or the public transport company in your area to see if carrier billing is an available payment option.
