Orange France customers equipped with an iPhone 15 or later version will be able to benefit from the Orange 5G+ network by activating the dedicated 5G+ option free of charge. This follows the launch of the operator’s 5G+ network for enterprise customers in February this year and the extension of the offer to select users with 5G-compatible smartphones in March.  5G+ marks the second phase of Orange’s 5G network development, enabling a complete transition to a standalone 5G architecture, delivering an enhanced customer experience and new features.

These customers, who already benefit from the very high speeds of Orange 5G, the largest network deployed on the 3.5GHz frequency band, will have access to the very latest 5G+ features via this option, which can be activated free of charge. This includes an even more responsive network thanks to reduced network latency. Furthermore, voice now goes to 5G with VoNR, as does data, for consistent quality for all uses.

5G+ includes encryption of SIM card identification data, providing optimal protection of users’ personal information. Orange launched 5G+ on March 6 and has chosen to offer it to all its customers via the 5G+ option, which can be activated free of charge. It was the first operator in France to offer the general public a 5G+ plan with dedicated bandwidth, the 180GB 5G+ Special Series, which enhances their experience even in busy areas for all their entertainment needs: streaming, gaming, AI, social networks, and more.
