O2 Slovakia Launches New Global Roaming Packages with More Data and Lower Costs
From June 17, O2 will bring a new roaming offer to its customers, which will make life easier for travelers, especially outside the European continent in the so-called Zone 2. In its new offer, it will focus mainly on data benefits, the price of which will allow comfortable travel without worrying about high bills upon return. O2 Slovakia roaming offer
In addition, the benefit will also affect other countries, from which O2 is moving from the more expensive Zone 3 to the much more favorable Zone 2. This change will affect up to 41 countries and islands, which are currently more accessible for tourists.
“At O2, we continue to bring fundamental innovations and improvements to our products and services so that they are always the number one choice for our customers. This time, we focused on the roaming offer outside the European Union, where customers already use services almost the same as at home. We are thus bringing our customers an unrivaled offer of safe and advantageous data in the zone of non-European countries. In addition, we have moved forty countries to a more cost-effective zoning, making our roaming offer even more attractive,”
said Lukáš Baťo, product owner of flat-rate plans.
New data packages in Zone 2
The new data roaming services operate on a pay-per-use basis. Customers with a weekly or monthly validity can spend their entire vacation without worrying about extra charges, choosing the size of the package with sufficient data volume according to their preference. The 1GB data roaming package will be valid for 7 days. It will be automatically activated for customers when using data in Zone 2 countries, thus protecting them from the more expensive charging regime of consumption by data units. The 3GB, 5GB and 10GB roaming packages will be valid for one month, and their generous volume will be used mainly by customers who do not want to limit their data consumption even on vacation.
International calls
O2 Slovakia will now also offer discounts to customers calling phone numbers in Zone 2 countries. With the International Calls service with a monthly fee of 4 euros, they can call their friends in Zone 2 countries for a discounted price of 0.25 euros/min.
New countries added to Zone 2
In addition to the reduced prices for data and calls, O2 is also introducing another reduction in its roaming offer from June 17. It is moving up to forty countries from Zone 3 to the more affordable Zone 2. Travelers will thus be able to take advantage of the more favorable prices of the second zone in countries such as Algeria, Brazil, Japan, India, and Vietnam. O2 Slovakia roaming offer

Changes to existing products
O2 is moving the existing Volania Svet and Svet bez sredižen packages to an inactive offer from June 17, which means that customers who currently use them will be able to continue using them unless they activate one of the roaming innovations themselves. From the same date, O2 is also removing the 500 MB per day package in Zone 2 from the offer, which will automatically be converted to a 1GB package in roaming with a favorable weekly validity for customers.
