Mobily offers In-Flight Roaming service
Mobily enabled users to use their GSM mobile phone and smartphone during flights, whether after takeoff or before landing, by using Mobily In-Flight Roaming service. ‬ Mobily in-flight roaming
All you need to do is activate this service to enjoy the many benefits of roaming on a mobile in-flight roaming equipped aircraft.‬
This Mobily service is automatically activated. Users just need to check whether the aircraft they are boarding offers the In-Flight Roaming service.‬
Air passengers today can use “Mobile OnAir” to stay in touch as they fly on over 10,000 flights each month, to over 280 cities in over 70 countries across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. OnAir has operated more than 65,000 fully connected flights to date., This service is available on:‬
- ‪Saudi Arabian Airlines‬
Currently, eight Airbus A330 aircraft are deployed. Operating routes from/to Saudi Arabia, Europe and the Middle East. Voice, SMS and GPRS are available to passengers onboard the aircraft.‬
- ‪TAP (of Portugal)‬
Commercial trial with one Airbus A319 aircraft. Operating routes from/to Europe including Cape Verde and Azores. Voice, SMS and GPRS are available to passengers onboard the aircraft.‬
- ‪Royal Jordanian Airlines‬
‪Currently, two Airbus A319 aircraft are deployed. Operating routes from/to Jordan, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and India. Voice, SMS and GPRS are available to passengers onboard the aircraft.‬
- ‪BA (British Airways)‬
‪Currently, two Airbus A318 aircraft are deployed. Operating a business class only route between London City Airport and New York JFK. SMS and GPRS services are available to passengers onboard the aircraft.‬
- ‪Qatar Airways‬
‪Currently, 15+ Airbus A319/A320/A321 aircraft are deployed. Operating routes from/to Qatar, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. SMS and GPRS are available to passengers onboard the aircraft.‬
- ‪Oman Air‬
‪Six Airbus A330 aircraft deployed. Operating between from/to Muscat, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Voice, SMS and GPRS are available to passengers onboard the aircraft.‬
- ‪Egypt Air‬
Currently one Airbus A330 aircraft is deployed. Operating routes from/to Cairo, Europe and North Africa. Voice, SMS and GPRS are available to passengers onboard the aircraft.‬
- ‪AirAsia‬
Currently six Airbus A320 aircraft are deployed. Operating routes from Malaysia across Asia. Voice, SMS and GPRS are available to passengers onboard the aircraft.‬
- ‪Libyan Airlines‬
‪Currently four Airbus A320 aircraft are deployed. Operating routes from/to Libya, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Voice, SMS and GPRS are available to passengers onboard the aircraft.‬
- ‪TAM (Brazil)‬
Currently one Airbus A321 aircraft is deployed. Operating domestic Brazilian routes (GRU-FOR-POA-NAT). Voice, SMS and GPRS are available to passengers onboard the aircraft.‬
- ‪Air New Zealand‬
Currently, two Airbus A320 aircraft are deployed. Operating domestic routes. Voice, SMS and GPRS are available to passengers onboard the aircraft.
‪Aero-Mobile Coverage:‬ Mobily in-flight roaming
‪Aero-Mobile is now operating the service on 74 Emirates aircraft operating about 200 flights daily with more than 40,000 subscribers attaching weekly, as well as operating the service on 1 Malaysian airline covering 14 different destinations.‬
