KPN eSim available from November

eSIM ‘s became available from KPN from 4 November. Existing customers, including consumers and small business entrepreneurs, can order an e-Sim via MijnKPN, KPN announced on its customer forum.
KPN eSIM offers a seamless and flexible connectivity experience. Whether you’re at home or traveling abroad, KPN eSIM allows you to stay connected with ease. It’s perfect for people who use multiple numbers, as it allows you to have both a personal and business number on one device.
New customers cannot yet order embedded Sims in this way. The option will become available to them within a few weeks. They can, however, activate the function as soon as the subscription is active, provided they have an eSim-compatible device.

Supported Devices

KPN eSIM is compatible with a range of devices. This includes the latest iPhone models (from iPhone XS onwards), Google Pixel 3 and later models, and Samsung Galaxy S20 and later models. For a complete list of compatible devices, it’s best to check the KPN website.

How to Order KPN eSIM

Ordering a KPN eSIM is simple. If you’re a new customer, you can order an eSIM when you choose a mobile subscription on the KPN website. If you’re an existing customer, you can easily change your physical SIM to an eSIM through the KPN website or the My KPN app. Once you’ve ordered your eSIM, you’ll receive a QR code that you can scan to set up your eSIM.

Q3 2020 

Adjusted revenues declined 3.7% y-on-y corrected for the impact of divestments (-5.4% y-on-y without correction). Growth in Wholesale was offset by lower revenues from Consumers and Businesses. In the third quarter, service revenues declined 3.7% y-on-y corrected for the impact of divestments (-5.4% y-on-y without correction).

Non-service revenues decreased 4.3% y-on-y, driven by lower hardware-related revenues. Due to COVID-19, KPN saw lower roaming revenues and the Business segment saw additional revenue challenges due to delayed IT projects in the third quarter.
Cost of goods and services were 4.4% lower y-on-y corrected for the impact of divestments (3.3% lower y-on-y without correction), driven by lower COGS and lower traffic costs.

Personnel expenses declined 15% y-on-y corrected for the impact of divestments (-19% y-on-y without correction), mainly driven by the ongoing digital transformation of KPN and lower costs due to COVID-19. IT/TI expenses declined 9.1% y-on-y corrected for the impact of divestments (-12% y-on-y without correction), largely driven by the simplification of networks, IT rationalization, and contract renegotiations with suppliers. Accelerating simplification and digitalization resulted in structural savings. In Q3 2020, total net indirect opex savings were € 44m.
