Gogo will leverage APSATCOM’s Ku-band network to enable the fastest inflight Wi-Fi solution within China for domestic and international airlines. APSATCOM’s network includes both wide-beam satellites and High-Throughput Satellites (HTS), with the APSTAR 6D satellite bringing significant HTS capacity and 100% coverage over China for inflight connectivity in mid-2020. The partnership will enable state-of-the-art network management services via APSATCOM’s Network Operating Center (NOC) and data center in China, in tandem with Gogo’s global Ku satellite network outside of China.

With this partnership and regulatory clearance to operate in China, Gogo and APSATCOM will offer an end-to-end IFEC solution inclusive of inflight systems, inflight experiences and operational support – available to Chinese airlines across both retrofit and line-fit programs. Gogo Inflight

Gogo is a company that provides in-flight Wi-Fi and entertainment services to airlines around the world. With Gogo Inflight, passengers can access the internet, email, messaging, and streaming content on their personal devices while in the air.

Gogo Inflight works by using a combination of satellite and ground-based networks to provide Wi-Fi connectivity to aircraft. The system uses a series of antennas on the aircraft to communicate with Gogo’s network of satellites and ground-based towers, which then relay the signal to the internet.

Gogo Inflight offers several different pricing plans to suit the needs of different types of passengers. Some airlines offer Gogo Inflight as a complimentary service for certain classes of service or loyalty program members, while others charge a fee for access. Passengers can purchase access for a single flight or for a set amount of time, such as a month or a year.

In addition to Wi-Fi, Gogo Inflight also offers a range of entertainment options, including movies, TV shows, and live television. Passengers can access these options through the airline’s in-flight entertainment system or on their personal devices using the Gogo app.

It’s important to note that the availability of Gogo Inflight can vary depending on the airline and the specific flight route. Additionally, the speed and quality of the Wi-Fi connection can be affected by factors such as the number of users on the aircraft and weather conditions.
