Free activates 4G roaming for subscribers around the world
Since the announcement of Xavier Niel last year on the sidelines of the keynote where the founder of Free announced to gradually launch its 4G in roaming internationally, new destinations are increasing. If we had already done a summary for the 38 destinations in Europe included in the 100GB package at 19.99 € / month, Universe Freebox wanted to check how many countries outside Europe included in this offer offer 4G roaming.
After a lot of research on the Mobile World Live website the GSMA, an association representing 750 mobile operators across 220 countries worldwide, Univers Freebox was able to count 16 destinations outside Europe benefiting from LTE technology.
This site also allows to see the network of which operator the subscriber can hang on. In addition, there are also the frequency bands concerned. For example, free-to-air trotters traveling to Canada or Uzbekistan will be able to connect to 4G on Free Mobile’s favorite frequency: the 700MHz. Here is a table summarizing this information.

Thus, 16 destinations outside Europe offer 4G roaming for subscribers to the Free Mobile 100GB package out of 21, leaving only 5 countries in the list of the operator in the state. And still according to the site, no 4G for Freenautes so in Algeria, Argentina, Pakistan and Bangladesh and China for the moment.
These 16 destinations, coupled with the 38 European countries mentioned previously, bring to the number of 54 foreign countries where Freenautes can navigate in 4G.
