Expo 2020 Dubai is the first World Expo to take place in the Middle East, Africa or South Asia and is predicted to bring huge development projects to the city over the coming months.

Rolando Martins, chief visitor experience officer at Expo 2020 Dubai, commented: “The hospitality experience at Expo 2020 is an opportunity to showcase this important aspect of the Emirati identity and culture.”

Olivier Harnisch, CEO of Emaar Hospitality Group, added: “I am delighted that we have been awarded Expo 2020 Dubai’s official hotel and hospitality partnership. My team worked hard towards this achievement and I thank them for their commitment and dedication.”

Emaar’s upcoming Dubai Creek Tower is expected to be completed ahead of the event and will stand taller than the Burj Khalifa – currently Dubai’s tallest building. A joint venture with Dubai Holding, the tower will reach more than 3,045 feet and is estimated to cost AED3.67 billion. It will feature rotating balconies, observation decks and a hotel.
