German digital bank N26 has announced that it will bring digital payment service Apple Pay to Portugal. According to Economia Online, this is not an official launch for Apple, but a new feature for N26.

 

The N26 will bring Apple Pay (…) to customers in Estonia, Greece, Portugal, Slovakia and Slovenia,” wrote the German digital bank on Twitter.

The announcement of the arrival of Apple Pay to Portugal also caught the attention of the specialized website MacRumors , which usually advances in anticipation of the main news of the manufacturer of the iPhone. According to the newspaper , the alleged launch of the payment service in partnership with the N26 is in line with what is being announced in other markets.

The Romanian subsidiary of the ING bank announced at the end of March that it will launch Apple Pay in Romania. Slovak bank Slovenská sporiteľňa also recently confirmed that it will move to support Apple Pay more later this year.
