ALIV chooses Truphone for its eSIM transformation
Aliv and Truphone are proud to announce a partnership that will see full-service eSIM solutions offered to its customers in the Bahamas.
Truphone’s remote SIM provisioning (RSP) was recently heralded as the most complete end-to-end eSIM management platform in the world (see Counterpoint research) and will form the central technology for Aliv’s burgeoning eSIM ecosystem.
Through Truphone’s platform, Aliv will be able to instantly connect its customers to Aliv’s network without reliance on plastic SIM cards—reducing traditional SIM fulfilment costs. For enterprise customers, Aliv will use eSIM to offer multiple numbers on one device, enabling much sought-after BYOD solutions. eSIM also allows Aliv to accelerate growth within IoT connectivity.
As a pioneer in eSIM technology, Truphone enables mobile operators to rapidly roll out support for eSIM-enabled devices by providing a complete “as-a-service” solution—through provisioning, management and evolution of eSIMs in their network.
As part of the project, Truphone has built the Aliv MI Applet, which simultaneously stores multiple IMSIs and necessary authentication details. The Applet allows seamless expanded coverage through roaming agreements, reducing customer churn and improving the overall customer experience.
Truphone’s platform enables partners to offer eSIM onboarding via an app through its software development kit (SDK). Customers can connect to the Aliv network instantly through the MyAliv App for a fully digital experience. No QR Code or Plastic SIM required.
Aliv is also seeking to connect more and more consumer devices. By using Truphone’s Entitlements Server platform, Aliv will soon be able to enable new products such as Apple Watch, the Samsung Galaxy Watch or network features such as VoWiFi, on their subscribers’ devices. Truphone Entitlements is a single platform covering the broadest range of entitlements specifications with the least friction for Aliv.
