Ukrainian operator Kyivstar has simplified the process of switching from conventional SIMs to eSIM ‘s. Payment for a service package is not mandatory. Those lacking sufficient handset credit can still switch to an embedded SIM. 

Both prepaid and postpaid Kyivstar subscribers can use eSIMs.

• Go to the application
• Select “Replace SIM with eSIM” and use the prompts to complete eSIM activation

• Prepare an additional device and go to shop.kyivstar.ua
• Choose one of Kyivstar tariffs with eSIM.
• Pay and wait for the voucher with the QR code, which will appear on the screen of the additional device. You can also receive a QR code to the specified email.
• Scan the QR code with the smartphone on which you activate eSIM.
• Add eSIM to your device and use your phone’s prompts to complete eSIM activation.
• Make sure everything works. For example, dial * 111 # and wait for the account information.
