Things to do in Verona

The course of true love never ran smoothly, said Shakespeare. But in Verona, you’ll find that true love does exist if you have the desire to discover it in many forms than one.

Begin your journey at Piazza Bra. Charmingly lined with local cafés and restaurants, the largest piazza in the city famously houses a first-century amphitheater: the Verona Arena. Next, find yourself in Romeo’s shoes as you look up to Juliet’s balcony at Casa di Giulietta, a guaranteed love at first sight. Before sunset, immerse yourself in local culture at Piazza delle Erbe.

For your parting sight, reach the top of Castel San Pietro and bask in the panoramic cityscape views as night falls over town.

Best Time to Go to Verona

The best times of the year to go to Verona are from late May through early October. If you’re looking for a less crowded scene, spring and fall are best. The Verona Arena Opera season is June through August, the best time to visit for evening performances.

How many days do you need in Verona?

2 days are usually enough to visit the city most iconic and important sights. But also you can see the surroundings like the beautiful Valpolicella valley ( a land famous for its fabulous red wine) at the north of the city.
